The Micro 100 V*S(r) Drives have been designed with a
Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) regulator to produce clean DC current to the
motor. When compared to conventional SCR drives, the PWM technology
provides a cost effective adjustable speed package that delivers the
performance you need for a wide range of commercial, light industrial and
industrial applications.
The near unity form factor of the Micro 100 PWM drive is
motor friendly. The clean DC current output of the controller allows cool,
quiet motor operation with extended brush life. The performance matched
Micro 100 PWM Motors are smaller, easier to maintain and more cost
effective than comparable SCR rated motors.
The improved form factor of the Micro 100 PWM drive also
provides high, constant operating efficiency across the entire motor speed
range. This not only reduces your energy costs but also provides a wider
speed range for more precise drive operation.
Standard
Features
- Open chassis construction on an "L" bracket for flexible mounting
within the electrical cabinet.
- Fast switching Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) regulator provides:
- Dynamic response to load variations.
- Quiet motor operation for noise or vibration sensitive
environments.
- Near unity form factor provides:
- Clean DC output voltage from the controller to the motor.
- Use of smaller, more cost effective motors in most applications.
- Constant, high efficiency operation across the entire motor speed
range reducing your energy costs.
- Longer motor brush life reduces motor maintenance.
- All circuitry - sequencing, regulator, power and terminals -
packaged on a single, surface mount design printed circuit board.
- Built-in surge suppresser helps protect semiconductors from line
transients for better reliability.
- Electronic short circuit protection is provided by instantaneous
output current sensing utilizing pulse feedback current limiting.
- 5K ohm speed potentiometer to vary the output speed of the drive.
- Jumper connections for horsepower selection and for zero speed
operation.
- Application adjustments tailor drive performance to your needs:
- Separately adjustable maximum and minimum speeds set speed limits.
- Adjustable current limit protects machinery, wiring and drive.
- Adjustable acceleration/deceleration rate for smooth starts, stops
and speed changes.
- Adjustable IR Drop Compensation for improved speed regulation.
- 50:1 constant torque speed range.
- U.L. Listed, C of U.L. Listed and lEC Classified to meet most
electrical safety codes in North America and Europe.
- Performance matched Micro 100 PWM DC Motors in NEMA 34, 42 and 56
frames provide the application flexibility you need from a single drive
source.
- Two years from date of manufacture/one year in service full exchange
warranty eliminates troubleshooting and quickly returns you to
operation.
